Johanna von Hertzen is a bold and dynamic pop-rock artist and music composer, whose strong voice has been shaped by years of experience in various roles in the music industry. Her husky, velvety sound combines sensitivity and power in a way that does not leave the listener cold. The same tones also run through her lyrics – Johanna is a storyteller who knows how to stop and draw her audience in.
Johanna, who has been actively touring since 2019, has purposefully built her career. In November 2025, she released her second album, which was created in collaboration with the producer duo Leevi Kohonen and Eetu Kinnunen at the legendary Finnvox studio.
Johanna’s second album’s songs have garnered attention in both the media and radio: ”Sano vaan mihin suuntaan” was aired on Yle Suomi, ”Kiitos kun kuuntelit” was played on Radio Suomi and was listed on Rumba, and ”Jos Putoan Pimeään” was aired on several Spotify lists on the day of its release, remaining on the Suomirock-lists for a long time. ”Sun täytyy kuulla tää”, on the other hand, received exposure on Sound magazine, aired on several channels and won the prestigious award from Yle Radio Suomi
Sun täytyy kuulla tää – was the first album release on Johanna’s own Mimmi Label. The label is distributed by Playground Music, the largest independent record company in the Nordic countries.
